An official selection of the Oregon Short Film Festival Screening Sunday February 24, 2019

The Weight I Carry (2018) is a short documentary focused on outdoor education and mental health. It is a conversation piece. As a personal documentary, I had to find a way to get my story out there, while also effectively spreading a positive message through the voices of my subjects. Screened first at Pacific University and the Clinton Street theater in May of 2018, my goal was to submit to more festivals so I could continue the much-needed conversation about mental illness that I bring up in the video. This is a prevalent issue today that needs to be addressed, both interpersonally and as a country.
